A Few Favourites

Hey huns!
So today I am here with a few favourites! We are nearly at the end of March (scary stuff) and I thought why not post my favourites!

First thing is a MAC lipstick in 'Plumful'. I bought this while on a school trip in Dublin and I have fallen head over heels in love with this lipstick! It's not drying, has a buildable colour pay off and is perfect for everyday!

The next thing is another lip product and it's an EOS lip balm in Strawberry Sorbet. Ok, so it's never going to be a substitute for my essential Carmex, but hey it isn't bad for under a lipstick! It smells beautiful and the packaging is undeniably adorable.

The next is a Real Techniques stippling brush. I bought this specifically for my powder highlighter and it hasn't disappointed! I used it for when I went out two weeks ago and loved it.

The next is my backpack! I'm going to Spain this summer to learn Spanish and of course I'll need a backpack! This is a Kanken from Urban Outfitters, and I am in love! It's a suitable size and I can't wait to use it more.

The last favourite is a TV show called Les Revenants (The Returned). It's a French show which has actually been remade in America and is on Netflix at the minute. I seriously recommend watching the French version as the American version is a carbon copy (the original is always better). It's gripping, tense and the story line is fantastic. I have no idea how I am going to hold out until the next season is released!

I hope you enjoyed this post! What have been your favourites lately?

Piercing: Tragus

Hey huns!

So today I am here with an informative post (or at least I hope an informative post) on my Tragus piercing! What I think I will do is that i will keep you updated throughout the healing time to see how it goes. The reason I am doing this is because I used piercing experience blog posts to help me to decide whether or not I wanted my cartilage and tragus piecing!

I got my tragus pierced on February 20th, and when I went to get my Tragus pierced, I went to the same place that I went for my cartilage which is a tattoo parlour in London. I signed some forms and so did my mother, and once we paid the money I went into a room with a bed (like you see at the doctors), a sink and drawers filled with earrings in small plastic bags.

The man who pierced my tragus was wearing a pair of latex gloves which reassured me that there was no room for infection. The needle used was taken fresh from a packet as was the earring used.

Now for the fun part!
When the needle was put through my tragus, it actually wasn't as sore as I was anticipating! It felt more like pressure rather than pain, and I could feel my skin being stretched ever so slightly. The most painful part (which really wasn't that painful) was when he took out the needle and put in the actual earring.
On a scale from 1-10 I would rate this pain at a six.

I was then given an aftercare leaflet that told me to wash my hair everyday if it touches the earring, warned me of possible swelling etc. it also told me to clean it with Dead Sea salt and hot water every other day, as cleaning it everyday can irritate it. I have been doing this ever since.

Honestly, I am so so happy with this piercing! It looks so nice, it's very subtle and quite dainty. After about two nights I could already sleep on the side of my piercing and it really is no longer sore. Soon, I'll be able to change the actual earring which I think will be a small hoop.

I can't wait to get my next piercing which will hopefully be a forward helix. I'll keep you posted on developments of that hehe.

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you have any questions about tragus or cartilage piercings feel free to leave a comment below or tweet me @thefashionchain .

OOTN

Hey huns!
Last night, I went out with my friends to an eighteenth birthday, which was so fun! Of course, I dressed up (like all teenage girls going out) and I thought that I would share my outfit of the night.

Skirt: River Island
Top: Brandy Melville
Shoes: Topshop
Necklace: One of Mam's old necklaces

I was so comfortable in this outfit! The top is slightly cropped so I only had to tuck it in a little bit, and also it kept me warm when I went outside when going home.

Also, those shoes are my life. I wore them the whole entire night and my feet weren't sore leaving.

I hope you enjoyed this (short) OOTN and I shall see you in my next blogpost!
