♥5 Valentines Day Ideas♥

Ah yes. The day of St Valentine looms once again and for some of us, we are reminded of the fact that we are single (hence, 'Singles Awareness Day').

For me, I will say that Valentines isn't that big a deal for me or most of my friends. And to be quite bluntly honest, as nice and all as it would be to get a card on Valentines, it isn't something that bothers me or keeps me awake at night.

But this year I am going to make an effort to spread the love among my family and friends. So I thought in this post, I'd show you all a few ways to show the people closest to you how much you love them as sometimes we all forget to show our appreciation of them.

1. Make a jar of 'Reasons Why I Love You'
Cue the pizza! We have a load of cheese on the way!
This is a nice idea to show someone (Parent, sibling, best friend etc) how much you love them. It'll make them feel good about themselves too, and every time they read one they'll think of you.

2. Do a secret Valentine with your friends

Like Secret Santa, except  you give (and get) sweets and chocolate! This is nice for you and your friends, especially if you’re single, because  you get to feel special! Again, quite cheesy, but also extremely cute.

3. Have a movie night
Whether its with a sister, your mam or your closest friends, sit down and watch some girly movies. No, not some Nicolas Sparks tear jerker. I recommend (my absolute favourites) Mean Girls, John Tucker Must Die and 10 Things I Hate About You. Add some popcorn and you’re good to go.

4. Compliment People Randomly
Wouldn't it be lovely for someone to say something nice to you, out of the blue and unprovoked? It makes you feel good doesn't it? Well why not give (true) compliments out to people. Not only will they feel good, you'll feel good too.

5. Give out sweets randomly
Give away sweets - are you kidding?
This is actually a really fun thing to do. Last year, I was at a thing where we had to dress up. I dressed up as Wilhelmina Wonka and gave out sweets to random people. It was fun because you get to benefit from talking to random people and maybe even make new friends!

So those are 5 ways to make yourself and others feel loved on Valentines Day. I hope you enjoyed this post :)

Drugstore Wishlist 2014

Hey huns!
Long time no blog! So today I have a drugstore wishlist for yous. This is just a few things that I hope to pick up or would like to pick up in the following 12 months.

(excuse the fact I skipped the number six. I have no idea why)

1. Maybelline Baby Skin
Ever since I heard about this primer I've been DYING to try it. I love the baby lips range and I've heard great things about this primer.

2 & 3. Revlon Lip Butter in Wild Watermelon and Juicy Papaya
I have one lip butter in Sweet Tart which is nearly finished! (Can't believe I've actually nearly finished a lipstick). I love how moisturising it is and wear it loads, so I want to try this lovely red one and the pretty orangey coral one.

4. Maybelline Master Sleek Brow Gel
I am going to tell you all that I do not do anything with my brows. At all. I really would like to get into a routine of filling them in and really want to try this brow gel.

5. Maybelline Dream Touch Blush
I've never actually tried a cream blush before! I saw this is Tesco one day and never got to try it out, but I am interested.
(If you recommend any other cream blushes tell me below!)

7. Bourjois Rice Powder Java
My friend at school has this AND OH MY LAWD. It smells amazing. This is just a translucent powder. I have my healthy balance one where you can see the pan more and more each day and it's definitely my favourite! This being by Bourjois also I'd love to try it.

8. Bourjois Blush Exclusif Rose
Another Bourjous product! I heard somewhere in the bloggy world that this is apparently very much like the Chanel blusher (Bourjois owns Chanel). It changes the tone of the blush to match your skin tone which sounds good to me!

9. Rimmel Cocktail Flash Shirley Temple
I saw this nail polish by chance on superdrugs website and I couldn't not put it in my wishlist! (Double negative, I know). This is a seriously pretty colour that weirdly reminds me of an orange slushy or at least something along the lines of that.

10. Barry M Gelly Nail Paint Dragon Fruit
I want to get moreso into pastel nails this year. I haven't tried any of the Barry M Gelly range yet, so if I do I hope to pick up this really pretty pink.

11. Sleek Matte Me Lipstick Party Pink
I have only ever tried one product by Sleek and I was very impressed. I've been on the hunt for a matte pink lipstick but I think this might be the perfect one for me!

12. Sleek Lipstick True Colour 'Exagerrate'
This reminded me of a MAC lipstick I've been lusting for called 'Violetta'. If I could get my hands on this one I'm sure I'd be equally as happy!
13. Sleek Face Contour Kit
I heard Zoella (I think) talk about this. I have recently gotten more into highlighting and contouring so I'd love to try this!

14. Maybelline Colour Tattoo 'Metallic Pomegranate'
I realllly have been wanting this since before Christmas. I love my colour tattoos and I'd love to add this to my collection.

So that is my drugstore wishlist for 2014. I thought it would be a fun post to do and if you would like to see a high end makeup wishlist in the coming weeks then just comment below!
Also, seeing as my mocks start on Wednesday, I'm not sure if I will be blogging or not, but on the 14th (Valentines Day. Woo.) I should be hopefully back.
